As reported on March 27th, the Conference Board of Trustees, with endorsement from Bishop Paul Leeland and the WNCC Cabinet, will be proposing to the Western North Carolina Annual Conference the construction of a new conference office building and if approved by the conference, construction beginning this year.
The proposal will be brought before the 2017 Annual Conference at Lake Junaluska in June. The proposed timing for the report of the Board of Trustees is during the afternoon session on Friday, June 23rd.
As a next step, the Conference Board of Trustees has developed a set of questions and answers that have been most frequently asked in the process (see below), offered an architectural rendering of the proposed building, and have provided a location map of the proposed facility.
On the website version of the Q&A, there is an opportunity to ask other questions that you might have about this project. The Trustees will attempt to answer those questions and incorporate them into the current list when available.
As we move closer to June 23rd, further information about this proposal will be shared with the clergy and lay members of the Annual Conference.
